Looks neat :) Same could be said about all the shots recently.

BloodyAcid, that looks absolutely stellar, as others have said. If you're dry on gameplay ideas and are open to the idea, I'm sure you could release the layout and other folks would be keen on helping with the gameplay :D

Thanks! Thing is, the "layout" so far, isn't much of a layout as opposed to an introduction area. Guess there's about 5 minutes-ish of running around and exploration if you take your time wandering about, and I'm thinking of upping the scale even more.

As I said earlier, I'm currently making a cyberpunk-style vanilla Doom 2 map, with some additional textures, just for the vibe.

Originally, I wanted to make this map for Somewhere in Time, and I put a lot of effort into it, but I sadly lost that half-finished release, so I decided to expand the idea a little bit more.

Thus, new textures, different (but resembling) architecture, and a desire to reach the 32768 SEGLIMIT as close as possible is presented.

For a little pun, the name of the map is "System Shop".








Also can't remember who made this sky, but it's just amazing.

Really?! You've changed my life, in regards of modding. Seriously, in my 8 years of playing Doom mods, it's the most atmospheric city sky I've ever seen.

Needless to say, I use it only if you allow it, but from your reply, I guess it's not an issue.

I've transitioned from the "I don't know what the fuck I'm doing" stage of mapping to the "I know what the fuck I'm doing" stage of mapping.



I'd post some screenshots of cool map areas, but I haven't done any texture edits for a cool deep cavern effect yet:

Wow, I'm flattered, thanks. And yeah the whole point of releasing all those skies in plmsky1 was for other people to use them so please go ahead; the permissions are basically "do whatever you want, credit me if you can."

Also in case you were curious, the original picture was a skyline of Chicago. Not this picture, but you can identify a lot of the buildings here:

How do you even work with a sector mess like this... -_- Seems quite difficult to understand what is going on. And when you get a new idea and want to change something...
