Urthar Posted April 12, 2018 (edited) I noticed a midtexture glitch has crept into the 3.3.1 version of GZDoom's software renderer. (GL mode works fine.) GZDOOM 3.3.1 (software mode) ZDOOM 2.8.1 (and all other Boom compatible ports) The glitch effects midtexures inside Boom format 242 invisible platforms/walls, and essentially renders them invisible. Interestingly, any part of an effected midtexture that's outside the invisible doodah still renders correctly. I'm not sure if this glitch was also present in 3.3, but QZDoom versions prior to this year seemed to work fine. Edited April 12, 2018 by Urthar 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
<inactive>Player Lin Posted April 12, 2018 Just suggest you should report your bug to ZDooM forum, to get the devs know quickly, and please do that. Also, when firing a bug report on there, you should give info about your system spec and what map of your screenshot because do not except everyone know what the map is from your screenshot(unless the devs just know), and can't debug from it. :P 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
drfrag Posted April 12, 2018 (edited) It's fixed, just download the latest Git build here and check: http://devbuilds.drdteam.org/gzdoom/ https://forum.zdoom.org/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=60100 As a side note i'd recommend using ZDoom LE 2.8.2a instead of 2.8.1 (has a lot of later fixes and also due to security issues). Urthar Posted April 12, 2018 Fair enough, I just reverted to 3.2.5 for the time being. I should probably register at the ZDoom forums at some point too. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
drfrag Posted April 12, 2018 GZDoom 3.3.2 has just been released, i think it's the last version before the 2D refactor (removal of ddraw and d3d backends). https://forum.zdoom.org/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=60221&sid=2777683285c94b6997b6891448d12d66 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
