SLADE 3, Invalid data encountered for texture [map name].wad:MAPINFO

BrassKnight

Question

So I have been fiddling with SLADE 3 for a while now and for some reason, the MAPINFO lump doesn't seem to save so I replaced it with a new one.

This is the text that is on the original MAPINFO lump:

Spoiler

map map01 "Transport"
sky1 sky1 0.0
music "d_runnin"
next map02
cluster 1

clusterdef 1
music "D_DM2INT"
flat "CLIN1-01"
exittext "As you entered the train's operating room, you started
to work on the train's control panel. The train started
to move and the monsters heard it. As the train moves,
the monsters tried to chase it but failed as it managed
to get away just in time.

You sat down on the chair beside you and took off your
helmet as the train passed around the mountains. You
wonder where the train will take you right now as you
don't know where the train is headed off to so let's
just say it's going to be the hangar leading back to
Earth.

The End?"

This is text on the MAPINFO replacement:

Spoiler

map map01 "Transport"
sky1 sky1 0.0
music "d_runnin"
next map02
cluster 1

clusterdef 1
music "D_DM2INT"
flat "CLIN1-01"
exittext "As you entered the operating room, you started to work
on the train's control panel. The train started to move
and the monsters heard it. As the train moves, the monsters
tried to chase it but failed as it managed to get away just
in time.

You sat down on the chair and took off your helmet as
the train passed around the mountains. You wonder where
the train will take you right now as youdon't know where
the train is headed off to so let's just say it's going
to be the way back to Earth.

The End."

What the MAPINFO lump does is that it simply renames the MAP01's name from "Entryway" to "Transport" and shows a text screen after the intermission screen. The problem is the text screen doesn't show up at all and every time I test the map, I get this error:

12213.png.ea12d0ef03d9198934d1f9b4c7c95c9b.png

The rest of the wad seems to work fine. How do you fix this and what's the reason why this happens?

Your MAPINFO lump is likely placed between texture markers, and thus is being loaded as a texture rather than as a text lump. Lump ordering is important in wads, only textures may be between texture markers.
