I don't see why that would be necessary. Perhaps I'm wrong.

 

This is my thinking: I don't see this thread (whatever it ends up being) as being in competition with the Cacowards. In fact, if a wad or mod won a Cacoward, it wouldn't be talked about here at all. As I see it, this would a thread of people writing reviews of wads or mods that they found high-quality, fun, ground-breaking, etc. that didn't win a Cacoward. It would not be a thread devoted to saying "The Cacowards got it wrong" or "Linguica and company just don't like these mappers so they're conspiring to keep them from winning much deserved Cacowards" or personal attacks against the Cacowards panel or something like that.

 

As long as it's just a discussion of the next 15 or 20 good wads that didn't win and why they're good and if you haven't seen them, you should check them out, I don't see why would need permission to do that.
