Graphically beautiful wads or eye candies

i have been a doomer since January and have played quite a lot of wads 

as I have a dual core pc

can you recommend me some graphically awesome wads?

 

I have played some awesome wads like

Diabolus ex(best custom textured wad ever)

going down

(currently downloading winters fury)

Winter‘s Fury is definitely a good example. Additionally I found those wads to be exceptionally beautiful:

And probably a bunch I haven‘t even played yet.

There is quite lot of beautiful maps, the only i can think of now are doom slayer chronicles, skulldash and doom 2: project remap.

I think it is made for the latest GZDoom, so it won't work in any other port.

I always felt Sunder was the best looking mapset ever made. I appreciate it tickles my very specific fancy, but I never get tired of just wandering around it looking at the geometry.

I'd have to cast a vote for Sunder as well.  If the visuals and gameplay tickle your fancy then check out Cryogenics.

I hear "Miasma" looks pretty neat.

 

Usually stuff ribbiks makes is also very pleasant to look at. YukiRaven already mentioned her stuff, so I'm just gonna say that yeah, it looks beautiful with lots of unusual colours as well.

 

If you want more unusual colours, have a look at "ancient aliens" by skillsaw, there's lots of vistas to be had.

 

Other unusual, but nonetheless interesting vistas can be found in "50shadesofgraytall", which was made with very odd texture limitations on mind, but I think some of the maps there definitely qualify as eye-candy (Xaser's and Mechadon's maps both are pretty cool, for example).

 

Other than that check out Dobu's stuff, he has a tendency to do detailed stuff that looks neat as well.

 

Then there's map 02 and map 03 of "Dimensions" which both have an interesting aesthetic to them that is also well worth a look (but don't play on UV unless you're seriously fucking good at doom).

 

Cryogenics has already been mentioned, cool stuff as well.

Valve is the same Valiant megawad, but with stripped down custom monsters and guns.

Ancient aliens, specifically maps 16 and 27 which are fucking awesome looking. 

 

Map 16 is also an epic adventure through different planets with your ship being a flying saucer. Really a stand out map imo. 

 

Valiant has cool looking maps too, the moon maps for example (map 28 in particular with its awesome lightbridge concept). 

 

Other than that, miasma is pretty rad looking.

Speedmaster (I believe it was called), a Russian mapping set, has some visually fantastic maps. Map 12 is the one I recall most, with a giant, black and green room that was amazing to look at. Plus the wad has some other cool set pieces, like a crusher map.

Brigandine is such a beautiful map. And it uses just vanilla textures which makes it even more admirable.
