The new release is getting close to done! Keep an eye out for it!

Thanks, man. Actually I died 60 times in a row and 2 times was "get rekt" (ragequits) but make it :D

(Btw in the end of run i have 2 hp, lol. I think this is the hardest map in megawad)

I've added a new release (Version 19.01.01) to the original post. My TODO list ended up reaching something like 100 tasks! Most small, like tweaking monster placement or fixing texture misalignments, and some bigger. Of all the maps, MAP13 has probably changed more than any other! Check out these before and after screenshots:

Finished the first map last night and I like what I see so far. It was a pretty tough start, especially given some of the ammo and armor starvation, but that may have been because I was playing UV. I felt like it was the right amount of challenge.

Played through it all including the secret maps and loved it. These maps for the most part are definitely what I like to see in a doom wad; short, challenging, and simple. There was definitely a lot of great monster usage and traps in this wad, and I even enjoyed the secret Wolf3D maps too which is something I usually don't care for. I'll admit the last episode certainly felt the weakest, though, but still good. A lot of the encounters were a bit straight forward, bordering on monster-spammy in the last few levels. Map 29 didn't seem like it was even complete unless I missed something, and the final map felt a little bit unimaginative and underwhelming, as if you ran out of steam by that point; I just circle strafed the Cyberdemons and unloaded my BFG into them repeatedly without really feeling threatened.

Anyways, despite some of its weaknesses this was definitely one of the best wads I've played in a while. I'm gonna drop it right into my favorites folder, and maybe even recommend it for a Cacoward. Great stuff!
