It looks awesome. The art on the front extrudes out from the box some and it is pretty much the old school big box dimensions. A little wider than the Quake box it seems. They also gave me a little holographic LRG card with the SI6IL art on it. Great stuff.

 

Now the question is... do I open now or wait? I don't know what to do!

Yeah so am I, even if I ordered it I'm still waiting for it to leak, with where I live it'll take a bit more than a few days to arrive.

I don't think so. So far, only people who ordered the standard box have received anything. The Beast Box has more goodies in it, so it's more things they need to gather from various suppliers, check for quality control stuff, then pack and ship.

Leak it? Jeez guys, how about some patience? I get that you're excited and want to play it but to try to incite the few that have their hands on it now to leak it, here of all places, seems rather...brazen, disrespectful even. The countdown for the free version has likely already begun.

I'm going to respect the intent of JR's wishes with Sigil. Once he says it's okay for the non-paying public to play, signaled by uploading to idgames, then and only then, will I play it. We've actually waited months, another week or so won't kill us.

To all youse guys who've received your copy of Sigil by now: Is there, like, an instruction manual on how to get the WAD from USB drive on the floppy disk? The LRG site shows this picture of the disk, so I assume it works like the disk in this video, but my floppy seems to be different from both of these. The one I received is a solid piece that doesn't allow the metal cover to slide over to expose a USB drive of which there's no opening the USB connector would appear from.

 

 

And yes, I see the thing that looks like a tab that suggests you can pull out that rectangular section next to the metal cover. However, I've applied quite a bit of force to it, enough to make me worry that I might break the plastic, and it's not pulling out. I'm again not sure if this is even the right way to access the disk's USB drive as this clearly isn't the same design advertised in the photos.

seems like a killer opportunity for everyone with a twitch account. Just the opening of the box and looking at the severed head and whatnot. I dont mean playing it with brutal doom or whatever. the waiting is palpable, even if everyone is on board for it.

They did say they ran into problems with the floppy usb sticks, so I'm not surprised that part of the delay was "actual our design cannot work, let's redesign with something simpler".
