Fine with me, my birthday is in July. But it might be competing with Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night for playtime by then. ...But I'll also be home from work until September, so I'll have more time to play stuff, too. Revenant100 Posted April 1, 2019 (edited) Even if Romero's work has been delayed multiple times, I'm sure it will be worth it in the end. I mean, what could possibly go wrong? Wait a minute! Romero game... Delayed multiple times... Why does this situation seem so uncannily familiar? Oh my goooooooooooooooooooood! Edited April 1, 2019 by Revenant100 11 Quote Share this post Link to post
Jimmy Posted April 1, 2019 I'm confused, where's the "extra month" coming from? Was there an announcement that it'd be delayed until May? Or are we just lamenting that April is only just starting and we have more to wait? 4 Quote Share this post Link to post

It'd be hilarious if it did drop on the 1st though, but that's unlikely or I would've gotten some kind of shipping email notice, I'm sure. :) 2 Quote Share this post Link to post

Doomkid Posted April 1, 2019 I paid for the basic boxed version and give 0 fucks about the delay. There is no shortage of Doom content, to me it seems silly to worry about delays. Almost every good wad ever made came out a bit later than originally intended. I can’t think of a single project I’ve made that hit the release date I was initially aiming for, in fact. 7 Quote Share this post Link to post

On my computer, I currently have The Ultimate Doom, Doom II, TNT: Evilution, The Plutonia Experiment, Doom 64: Retribution, "Four Site", Aliens: Colonial Marines (excellent TC if you haven't played it, though can be confusing), Chex Quest 3, Preacher, Unloved, both of Romero's modern levels, and Cold as Hell. That's a lot to keep me occupied Doom-wise until Sigil comes out and there's still thousands if not millions of classic Doom levels and mods on the web to play. I mean, here's a list to go through. ReaperAA Posted April 1, 2019 @LadyVader1138 also try Eviternity if you haven't. A must-play megawad 4 Quote Share this post Link to post
wheresthebeef Posted April 1, 2019 I assume when those that bought physical copies get a notification that the boxes have shipped we will know the release is right around the corner. Surely somebody will get this notification before Romero announces the final date. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post

Hopefully it will only be minor enhancements if that's the case, otherwise it might not work correctly in other ports. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post

It's a surprising news though, thanks for sharing. 3 Quote Share this post Link to post

Caffeine Freak Posted April 3, 2019 Woah, Sigil is looking badass. It's so surreal how he's incorporating levels from the original Doom into the new WAD. Like, it comes full circle. He obviously made the levels in the original Doom with Sigil in mind, it's so crazy how he was planning this whole fifth episode over 25 years ago. Money well spent, can't wait to play this. 8 Quote Share this post Link to post

Caffeine Freak Posted April 3, 2019 @Lila Feuer Lmao what are you talking about? Did you see the gameplay up there? Did you see how awesomely the new level connected with the original E1M1? Romero obviously put that door at the beginning of the level back in 1993, knowing full well that he'd some day come back and blow our minds when he showed us all what it's original purpose was. 7 Quote Share this post Link to post
