UDoom ep 4 NM-Speed in 5:10 (6:20) by Andrew Martinez (KingMamba48) (someone with 2 demos on DSDA!) (video).

Swim with the Whales UV-Max full run in 35:52 by Killer5/MrZzul (video).

 

Surely my crowning (only?) achievement of the year: thissuxx map 17 Tyson in 31:21 (video).

TNT MAP20 NM100S in 3:17 by SAV88 (video). A lot of running was skipped thanks to Mr. Vile.

Really sorry, I came back this forum recently, so I am not familiar with remarkable achievement in 2018.

In recent demos, AV Map27 NM-Speed in 3:56 by SAV88. It was not only finishing an undone nightmare but also doing it with a fast time.

Also, Doom2 map15 true 100% secrets by Zero Master, though it was very famous one. It became a hot topic between Japanese doomers.

I'm sure everybody here can agree eternal doom tysons were the most significant addition to the doom demos repertoire.

Absolutely!  Outstanding dedication to those. Several of those were seemingly impossible and you somehow figured it out. Outstanding achievement!

 

There were also many runs by all of the top runners that were just outstanding.  It would be impossible to pick even a top three runs for this thread since were at least a dozen or more all year long.

 

We are really blessed to have so many extremely skilled runners in the forums right now.  Congratulations to you all.

Totally agree with these. MM2 map 25 on Nightmare is particularly impressive..

Some stellar demos have already been mentioned for minor works such as MM2, Doom 2, and Alien Vendetta, so I'll give a shout to all the demos for the prestigious Experiencing Nirvana, the brightest beacon of speedrunning crafted yet.
