how do i fix my insanely high ping in doom 1?

i have maximum ping on classic doom multiplayer on xbox one. how do i fix it? do i need to break my console? yell at my internet people? what do i do to fix my ping. it's not this high in my other games, so why is it high here?

Probably just down to who you're playing with. If it's not affecting other games it's definitely not your connection, and I'm pretty sure breaking your console won't fix your game (or your ping).
