Eviternity demos [-complevel 11]

Map 26 UV Pacifist in 1:58.

There's certainly still room to clean up this run and I believe the limit with this path is around 1:55-1:56 if all the monsters fully cooperate.

Found some time save and there is still about 2 seconds left to find since I wasn't able to lower the star lift while jumping off. I left a tic too early otherwise this would have been a 1:51.

I noticed my map05 run wasn't uploaded to DSDA, probably due to the lack of a textfile in the zip, so reuploading that here

Wow, another agonizing run. It can be whittled down for sure if you're good at glides, I took a very cautious approach because I had so many close runs and I just got fed up with the map so there you have it.

Time to just dump demos since cleared every map on uv fast. im not a speedrunner i think but might as well have made demos.. 1st time making demos.

i could retry, the monster spawners are extremely bugged similar to hr 23 arachnotrons so it appears to be random if everything will spawn in. but i guess i could try more and see if i get lucky eventually.

edit: ok so i took a look whenever i "cleared" the map by saving then restarting without demo recording and well so far i concluded if a large amount of monsters is missing the arachnotrons (and maybe a mancubus) got stuck, if its something small like 2 enemies left the turbo pinkies are for some reason unable to enter the linedef to teleport them in.. well back to trying but this is odd, maybe its fast monsters exclusive as far as the pinkies are concerned.. i did have situations where pinkies spawned in before you pressed the switch to start the fight which i only ever seen on -fast

Oh, I just reread your textfile; yeah, I think buggy monster teleporters tend to be required for maxes if it's possible for everything to spawn in. I'm not familiar with the map, so I can't really make the call if this is a case which could be an exception, but I'm not aware of any map that has exceptions for buggy teleporters for max rules. :/

alright so after playing it awhile and testing how the spawns work.. bleh this is what i think will be the actual max for the level.. just put it in other category gonna copypaste my text file description here

"missing 1 monster because of the nature of fast monsters making 1 pinky unable to spawn. alright so how the map works is when you press the switch to engage the slaughterfest monsters in
the monster room will be on a merry go round conveyor belt of sorts and spawn in when they touch the correct linedef. however due to the nature of fast pinkies being so fast, they can actually outpace
the conveyors and get stuck on the wall. now the reason why 240/241 is the actual max for fast is because in order to get unstuck the pinkies need the help of another pinky pushing into them but
if no pinky is left besides the one in the room he will be unable to get unstuck thus making a true max of this map impossible on fast monsters. pretty stupid and i doubt this map will get the treatment
of hell revealeds map 23 where arachnotrons in the 1st room will not spawn in sometimes and the community decided if you killed everything except the arachnos it will count as a max.
this is unfortunate but what can you do."

Alright, I'll do that. :/ Do you want just this run uploaded or the above one in 3:42? I guess that one is faster, even though both miss a kill. 😅

uhm.. i think the 3:42 missed 2 kills and this one only missed the pinky that just never spawns so this one i guess
