Searching for a certain (old) version

Hi guys, some days ago I started playing a certain version of Freedoom: Phase 1 which I downloaded on my pc years ago and I was quite happy with it. However, after re-organizing my desktop I accidently deleted it and it seems I can't find it on the web anymore. I went to https://github.com/freedoom/freedoom/releases and downloaded all the versions ranging from 0.11.3 to 0.9 but to no avail. The version I had is nowhere to be found. It had the old Freedoom logo, old pickup and weapons graphics and the old serpent sprites yet the first level (and music!) was the Outer Prison from version 0.11 onward. I believe it was an edited 0.11 version made to look like the 0.9 one; this would also explain why I am able to load my save with the former while it just crashes with the latter.

Fortunately, I still have the corresponding freedoom2 file which I am going to link so that maybe someone will be able to identify which version it was.

you have probably downloaded an edited version of 0.11 on some website that's not the freedoom site.

It turns out wad-archive knows about your file and also lists it having come from (what I'm guessing is) a backup of the old best-ever wad directory. In there I see several freedoom versions and edits; the file named simply "freedoom.wad" (in the middle) is the one you posted. Perhaps one of the others is the one you are looking for, on the assumption that both came from the same place.
