Can someone help me install Brutal Doom? I'm an idiot.

Can someone give me a tutorial on how to install brutal doom. I'm slow so I can't figure it out.

Go to zandronum.com and install it. It will ask if you want to associate wads and pk3s during installation, click yes. Then find the latest version of brutal doom (brutalv21.pk3 I think was the name of the latest build). Make sure Doom2.wad is in your Zandronum folder, double click the brutal doom pk3 and you should be all set. I can provide screenshots later on if necessary, not at my pc currently

Whatever you do, don't put Brutal Doom in your Skins folder, even though you might have been advised to do so.  If you do that, Brutal Doom will be the only thing you can play.  Brutal Doom can be fun, but there are too many other fun mods to play to limit yourself to just one.

 

Zandronum comes with a server browser, Doomseeker.  You can use it to connect to servers playing all sorts of mods.  You can also use it to launch a single-player game, easily combining Brutal Doom (or some other mod) with any map set you want to play, and there are many many map sets, even more than there are mods, and more being made even now.
