Finding playtesters

I have a very big DOOM 1 map ready for playtesting. How do I go about that? How do I find playtesters? Do I send the map to playtesters by mail, by downloader, do I post it on Doomworld? Is it better to have it tested by only one playtester (at least one at a time) or by many? Do I send or publish a description? Do I post screenshots?

The easiest way is to create a thread in the "WADs and Mods" forum and post your map publicly. And yes, screenshots are very important, because they will get people interested to even try your map.

About 6 months, I posted the following thread:

 

I agree with boris that creating a thread on WADs & Mods" (follow the recommendations for what to provide when you post your map, please) will get you some feedback, if you would prefer to get some feedback before going public, check out the people who responded to the October thread.

I've been a private playtester myself the whole time I was creating custom WADs.

If you would be willing to offer your services, by all means, please add your name to the above-mentioned thread.

I wouldn't have an issue with that. Meanwhile, I recently have beaten Benjogami's level, "Long Road, No Turns."
