Say which of the two songs above you like. Then, post two songs you like.

Hard choice.. I really liked the first one but this second one is kinda epic (and great) too.. Hum.. I'll give Nephilim's Howl the win for that part around the 7 minute mark, but it could have gone either way.

so, for something a bit different, here's one of the best players of portuguese guitar :

vs another player in a more heavy metal take on the portuguese Fado musical style:

I used to listen to Signs of the Swarm and all that brutal deathcore and all that but I can't stand it anymore. But I like the Nightcrawler song better.

I loved both songs just as much but I'm going to go with the Rings of Saturn song.

I actually think I like the second one better but the first one starts with doom sounds so it wins.

vs

(and now off to listen to Converting Vegetarians in full.. Well, it's good work music ^^)

oh, Deliverance. Without a doubt.

first, a brazilian heavy metal act from the 80s (that apparently returned to the active recently) that I found yesterday because of the name (Azul Limão literally translates to "Blue Lemon", although as is written a better translation would be "Lemon Blue") :

vs one of the oldest portuguese heavy metal acts :

(fun fact : Moonspell has recently released an album about this same earthquake)

the wicked it is.

Mão Morta is one of the (if not the) best portuguese bands ever. Everyone knows about it but not many people have actually listened to it.

So, two songs by them with dogs in the title.

"Cães de Crómio", "Chromium Dogs".

First verse : "and so, the chromium dogs / assault my dawn / fill me with gasoline / and put a match to me"

Favorite verse : "I announce the tomorrow of the stars / today has lost it's validity"

vs

Cão da Morte (Dog of Death) :

chorus : "I die! I die! In the altar of you"

Oooooh definitely gonna have to go with Cães de Crómio there.  Love that kinda fuzzed out, repetitive industrial sound.  I've actually never heard of this band but I could see them entering my regular rotation if they have more like this.

The first video is a band while trying to find every Dune related artist on Spotify I could.  Nothing about them actually has anything to do with Dune except for the name but it's still some killer sludge.

The other is Current 93.  Took me a couple listens to get used to David Tibet's voice but now I love this shit.

sorry to disappoint, as far as I remember that's the only song of the kind by them, since they tend to try many different things, and that one is particular os from a very.. diverse album (from pop to metal, passing by industrial and bossa nova!), but try this one too, it's maybe a better entry point to their other work but it also has a fuzzed out repetitive sound [the lyrics are him dictating directions for most of the time and then "time doesn't wait for me/us"].

Now, as for your songs.. Didn't know Stoneburner, but really nice sludge indeed! (also, try any of this if you haven't yet for Dune bands)

I know Current 93, and it is indeed hard to get into, although I don't recognize neither this song nor album (which isn't surprising considering they have, according to wikipedia, 78 releases..).

Hum... Current wins, but it's a hard choice. One of those where had the songs been presented the other way around I might have picked the other choice.

My songs.. hum. A band that collaborated with Current 93 a few times :

vs another ur-folk thing (I've seen them live a couple of times and it's as good as it sounds) :

I prefer the first one. The second one is quite different from what I'm used to in a way that doesn't appeal to me. Not much else to say. Here are my choices:

Omnium Gatherum.

As for the choices:

surprisingly not bad Harry Potter symphonic black metal :

vs Japanese instrumental BM:
