How do I easily merge wads I've downloaded from the realm667 repo?

foul_owl

Question

Let's say I'm using 30 different wads from the realm667 repo, all thing related. Does slade or deutex have an easy way to simply merge all these files? I would prefer that people who play my maps only have to include one file. Would prefer a command line option, which is why I mentioned deutex.

Also...is it ok to use things from realm667 as long as credit is given in my map readme?

Use SLADE to add the custom resources to your maps wad. You'll need to tidy them up a bit, putting all the sprites between one set of markers and combing all the decorate scripts into one (copy paste is fine).  Someone correct me if I'm wrong please

You can use the resources in the repositories but you do need to credit the appropriate people, each release will have a credits file that you can refer to.

It's fine so long as nothing is trying to replace the same thing and everything is either completely new or inherited from and not replacing anything. Even then, it's pretty simple to fix conflicts if you put in the time.

What about S_ markers? Do wads spit out errors if they have two sets?

You'd think so, but not really. If the markers are set up right and there are duplicate frames with identical names, as far as I know the last encountered lump is used. So yes there could be sprite conflicts but it wouldn't throw errors like DECORATE could.
