DecoyZulu Posted June 9, 2019 I've been trying to run DB2 on my laptop, which is running Win10. The program itself runs fine except for when I try to run a test play of the map being worked on. This problem has occurred even when running DB2 on compatibility mode for XP, Vista, and 7. Can anyone help me with this? I've attached the error message. Thanks in advance! 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
Alper002 Posted June 9, 2019 (edited) Doom builder 2 isn't supported anymore. If you want something really like it but better, try DoomBuilder X. If you want something with many more features, try GZDoomBuilder-bugfix. Link to DoomBuilder X Link to GZDoomBuilder-Bugfix Edited June 9, 2019 by Alper002 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
DecoyZulu Posted June 9, 2019 Thanks so much. I've been out of the community for years, I haven't kept up with this stuff. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
DecoyZulu Posted June 10, 2019 I downloaded DoomBuilder X and I'm having the same exact error. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
Ribbiks Posted June 10, 2019 This looks like an issue with the executable that you're testing with and not with the editor itself. Have you confirmed that you are able to run exe by itself that is being pointed to by: Game Configurations --> Testing --> Application ? 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
DecoyZulu Posted June 10, 2019 Yep. The exe can be run by itself. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
DecoyZulu Posted June 10, 2019 Alright, brb offing myself out of embarrassment. I'm able to test my map properly if I point to my source port instead of the wad like I used to do with DB2. Issue resolved. Thanks for the quick assistance! 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
