xttl Posted June 28, 2019 You mean vanilla-compatible bridges or GZDoom 3d floor stuff? 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
Shyboy Posted June 28, 2019 can you put this in the simplest terms? im not that smart with doom builder 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
Alper002 Posted June 28, 2019 First we need to consider the map format. 3D floors can only be done in doom in hexen or doom in UDMF. Also, to simply explain a dummy sector, it is a sector that exists outside of the map for miscellanious purpouses, and is not intended to be accessed by the player ever. For a good explanation there's this really old video tutorial: You can basically disregard the first part where he talks about downloading zdoom stuff and the special visual mode, this was made way back in the past. This tutorial is made for Doombuilder 2, but the interface hasn't changed much, so you can follow it with little issue today, I'd imagine. The special visual mode he talks about is integrated into GZDoombuilders regular visual mode, so you don't need to worry about that. He also goes over slopes for a short moment as well. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
xttl Posted June 28, 2019 (edited) Attached is a simple example wad with a 3d floor. Also two pics: Does this help at all? 3dwad.zip Edited June 28, 2019 by xttl 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
unpleasantmarine Posted June 29, 2019 Note that the celing and floor height of the dummy sector corrseponds to the floor and ceiling height of the 3d floor iirc 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
