That cover doesn't say DOOM to me so much as the font and the name say DOOM. I'm still looking forward to seeing the movie and giving it a fair shake since other straight to video movies from Universal have been fair.

I really like the boxart! Nice!!! I also noticed they have change the "glow" position. Last time it was placed over the I letter (Doom. Annthilation, an ants movie) and this time it's over the A letter.

Am I the only one who really doesn't care whether or not Hell gets mentioned?  Like, just give me tough-as-nails marines using a wild variety of weapons to fight hordes of evocative looking monsters, and I'll happily accept that it's a Doom movie.

I would be cool with them explaining that they are inter-dimensional beings that created "hellish" looking creatures to invade our realm, to terrify us further - like in the novels. ( One of the very few non-crap ideas in those books IMO.)

Fair enough. Forgive me for having no confidence in videogame adaption movies, but the track record of the last 20 years speaks for itself. So I'd rather expect nothing and be surprised than the alternative.

So how exactly do these rights work? Doesn't that Doom 2016 commercial technically count as a movie? Could Marty & Co make a 30 minute CGI version of that if they wanted?
