This is our first traditional map project as a team, and our goal is to create an atmospheric and challenging GzDoom/ Zandronum megawad, optimized for single and coop play. We have about 20 years of experience playing Doom, and it's many pwads, and it was high time to create something of our own. Suitepee Posted August 13, 2019 https://www.twitch.tv/videos/466810679 I attempt to play through map 1 at 2:37:28 into this playtest livestream, but I decide to stop as I sensed this wad wasn't for me quite early on. grrfield Posted October 7, 2019 First of all this looks good, but you guys overdid yourself a bit. Each and every room or stage in the map has lava, pits, no really useful weapons and an shortage of ammo. Rethinking (easing) a lot of parts and you may find people to actually play it. I just got 6 people on my server and they just.... ran off. Imho, good work, nice design, good ideas, but gameplay is just not up to par. But that is just me. BTW, map01 can be entirely skipped by strafing off that tower onto the side of the map and hence just running into the exit (avoiding the vile). 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
Turin Turambar Posted October 7, 2019 What difficulty are you playing on? are you doing pistol start? if you don't say that, the post doesn't serve a lot. I'm not finding particular problems at HMP.
