TravyB Posted December 8, 2019 I'm far too bad at the game to finish it on UV without resurrecting but this is an incredible set of maps. How did you handle the idea of having to reload with Supercharge when it came to enemy placement, or did you not worry about that too much? I ask because I've been considering doing something specifically for the mod as well and was curious how much that impacted your thought process, if at all. I was even going to use the Gothic texture set but you've beaten me to it :P 0 Quote Share this post Link to post

I was even going to use the Gothic texture set but you've beaten me to it :P UV can be tricky, I still have some troubles in certain areas. Hence the recommendation for HMP on a first time playthrough, haha, but I'm glad to hear you still had a decent time. Thanks so much for checking it out! Umm, to be honest, the reloading didn't impact enemy placement as much as you might think. The one instance where it did have a huge impact was the opening level, with the Pistol, and I ended up increasing the clip size to 9 (from 6) as a more general way of addressing it. Other than that, I'd say it's the new enemies themselves who have the greater impact on enemy placement -- for instance, the Plasma Zombie really can't be treated exactly like a Zombieman, as they can be quite dangerous in large numbers/certain setups. There's a lot to experiment with and I found it extremely fun and rewarding, overall. As for the Gothic texture pack, I couldn't recommend this more! It's such an awesome set with a lot to explore, and most importantly it just feels really easy to come to grips with and use effectively, I think. Please don't let my use of it stop you! It was generously released to the community for a reason :D 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
SP_FACE1 Posted December 9, 2019 Do you still have the old version without the supercharge mod somewhere? 0 Quote Share this post Link to post

(This is the updated pk3 version compiled by Ozymandias81, with the full 8 maps, and the original custom content without Supercharge). 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
