dial-up Posted August 11, 2019 (edited) I have finally finished my second Doom-inspired MIDI album. It's available here: https://dialupformurder.bandcamp.com/album/midi-nightmares It's free to download, or you can pay what you like should you want to. If you download the album, the MIDI files are included with the download. Edited August 11, 2019 by dial-up 15 Quote Share this post Link to post

It's appreciated, I'm grateful for any amount. Mainly I'm glad you downloaded and liked it! The girl on the cover is Sophia Hapgood from Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis. But now you mention it she does look like Elaine Marley from Monkey Island. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post

Ribbiks Posted August 11, 2019 Really fun stuff! Both this and MIDI Dreams are great. Despite some stylistic influences that are generally not my cup of tea (synthwave, some djent even :p) there's a charming whimsy to these that makes them quite addictive. 2 Quote Share this post Link to post

Yeah with a few tracks I went hard with just writing the kind of music that I like, eschewing typical expectations of Doom music. Thanks for the positive review! 0 Quote Share this post Link to post

MuddyFunster Posted August 17, 2019 (edited) Another great selection of tunes. I'd pick out Soap Cult and City of Prisms as my favourites, but they're all pretty excellent. A really diverse set of tracks between the two albums. Always meant to ask you about the track "_ ______ _ ___ _____ ___" from ...Dreams. The midi's great but the album version is super gorgeous, especially when it really kicks in with that sludgy synth/guitar sound. Sounds like it's melting into some weird infinite void. Says it was written by Liam Douglas? Does this mean there's another version out there, or did they just write it and you did the final composition? Either way, pass it on that I think it's an amazing bit of music. Edited August 17, 2019 by MuddyFunster 0 Quote Share this post Link to post

Yeah ___ __ _ was written by my mate Liam and yes there's another (the original) version of it out there somewhere. I'll let him know! 2 Quote Share this post Link to post
