Architecturally there is no difference in networking capabilities between the OG Xbox, the 360 and Xbox One. If you have a game that can be played on all 3 of them (like Star Wars Battlefront 2), they will all play together over system link fine. It's just running Winsock afterall. 1 hour ago, memes4lyfe said: and while i'm at it, can doom 3 and ressurection of evil be played together in multiplayer? No. They are considered two different games on Xbox. Edited September 22, 2019 by Edward850 0 Quote Share this post Link to post

Edward850 Posted September 23, 2019 (edited) Of course not. Why would the 360 provide such a function? Edited September 23, 2019 by Edward850 0 Quote Share this post Link to post

You can install Doom 3: BFG Edition (not the original one as that is an original Xbox game) onto the Xbox 360 but you would still need the disc inside the tray to verify the game. It just won't spin up is all, so technically the 360 will be quieter, depending on the model of course. Some games also read faster off of the HDD, but not all. I used to install games onto mine all the time as my 360 is pretty loud (i got mine in 2009 so it's still an older one). Than i would uninstall games after i was done playing them, to free up hard drive space. I believe that original Xbox games that are backwards compatible cannot be installed though.
