Do anyone play on Nightmare seriously?

For me the challenge and test of my skill is the fun part. Nightmare forces me to think differently which in turn breathes fresh life into a game I've played a thousand times already. Honestly if you've beaten E1M3 on NM color me impressed. I've recently started speedrunning UD @ UV-Speed and ILvl or not, that map's a fucker and run killer.

 

But I guess that's why I love it along with E1M7. :3 They give you a good spanking when you're trying to go fast.

E1M5 is pretty nasty also.

Yep, you really, really have to think on your feet to get through anything on Nightmare. I've come really close on E1M5, but it always finds a way to screw me over.

Damn you, by the way, now you've inspired me to get some NM-Speed demos down. :P And I think E1M3 UV-Speed ILvl is annoying as it is.

Nightmare literally scared me as a kid but I can appreciate now that Doom has this insanely hard difficulty. It gives you a goal

to strive for. For masters of Doom only!

I do it sometimes, very casually and just for fun, but I have to be in the mood for it. I'm not at all a speedrunner or expert player, so it's still really a challenge. It's extremely strategy-heavy and requires knowing the map a bit, but I like that.
