DOOM64 EX problem crashing

Howdy. I've been playing DOOM64 EX, having some fun with it. It's unique to most of the other DOOMs I've played. I came here to ask some help. It crashes when I save/load. If anyone still plays this, or knows what is wrong thanks in advance.

Access violation you say?

 

I've experienced that error in the past too (not when saving/loading though), and it was also reported on its github repo. It was meant to be fixed in a future release, but development kinda halted afterwards... It's probably something you'll have to live with, I don't think workarounds were ever found.

 

Good news is, however, that it's getting a commercial, multiplatform re-release/remaster next year, might want to wait for that instead.
