Egg Boy Posted November 12, 2019 A short map originally intended to be the opener of a brand new Doom 2 episode. I'm not quite sure if I'll do that at this point, so I figure I'll throw it up here to gauge interest as well as receive feedback (a link to the map, as well as screenshots can be found below). The map was made for and tested in PR-Boom+, and is set in an "industrial greenhouse." It includes the track "Girders" by the beloved Jimmy, as well as textures and things gathered from realm667. Have fun, and please let me know what you think. Download: https://drive.google.com/open?id=14CBBntGVCdWwo-d4s6dAu5BCkSw4Tf0n Screenshawtys: Spoiler 17 Quote Share this post Link to post
Magicana Posted November 12, 2019 I had to open Doom builder to find out how to get that green armor... Sadistic! Cool map. You can probably see the changes that need to happen based on my playthrough (Most importantly: Make that step wider so the Demons can get up!) 2 Quote Share this post Link to post

Just wanted to mention real quick that the lights floating appears to be a bug that does not appear in pr boom, the port i tested in. I appreciate the feedback, however! 1 Quote Share this post Link to post

RonnieJamesDiner Posted November 14, 2019 This was a fun little level. Very, very grey, but interestingly the vegetation props added a nice splash of color and detail to the world. It would be a shame if this lead nowhere (further maps I mean), but as it is, it was a quick bite of something good. Thanks for posting! 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
Egg Boy Posted November 15, 2019 (edited) Hey guys! Just uploaded a new version of the map, there are many fixes and adjustments to the encounters, as well as a brand new secret, please try it out! (I also made that devilish secret easier to find) https://drive.google.com/open?id=14CBBntGVCdWwo-d4s6dAu5BCkSw4Tf0n (same link as the op) Edit: forgot to mention, this version has been tested in GZDOOM and I fixed a few of the bugs that it has on that port. HAK3180 Posted November 15, 2019 I like most of the changes, especially the new archvile teleport destination (or was that just chance?) and the earlier rockets. Difficulty should not be confused with fun, of course, but sometimes easy can be boring. This is one of those maps that isn't all that hard but is still fun to play, which mappers can't always pull off. On that note however, I think the teleporting revenants may be a little much - not too hard, just feels a little spammy in context, especially since I had to clean up with the regular shotgun. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
kaleb. Posted November 15, 2019 really liked this map a lot! really nice looking, and just enough difficulty to be challenging but not at all frustrating. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
Egg Boy Posted December 13, 2019 Thank you for playing @Austinado! I really appreciate the playthrough. I did notice, there was a small visual bug that you probably didn't notice, so I fixed it! It's under the same link, but I will also post it here for convenience sake. https://drive.google.com/open?id=14CBBntGVCdWwo-d4s6dAu5BCkSw4Tf0n 2 Quote Share this post Link to post
