Chipper35 Posted November 16, 2019 I'm a bit embarrassed to ask this, as back in my ancient DOS days, I knew how to do this!! But: I need help understanding/using parameters/command line arguments.........like.....I need someone to explain it to me like I'm a 1st grader!! I can look up the verbiage myself. But: I mean where do I ENTER THE ARGUMENTS?! So:on my desktop, I right click on GZDoom.exe (fine, no sweat), then....I scroll down and click on Properties.....I'm good that far: Then what?! Simple example: Opening GZDoom at a specific Episode/level.....might be a nice starting point for a VERY ELEMENTARY explanation, please!? 0 Quote Share this post Link to post

Alper002 Posted November 16, 2019 Here's how you actually do it: Setup: Make a shortcut to cmd.exe Within its' properties, make it start in the folder of your source port When you want to launch the source port with parameters: open the shortcut Type the name of the executable, followed by the parameters. You could also use some sort of launcher program to achieve a similar thing, and in a more user-friendly manner as well. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post

Alper002 Posted November 16, 2019 Target is the executable the shortcut is for, from what I can tell, so yes. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
