Pain Elemental not launch lost souls

Question

How title says, I was put two pain elementals in a big dark room, they move but when they must launch lost souls just make animation of launching, but flying skulls don't appear. Is like when you end doom2 beating Icon of sin and appear all demons making they attack frames

If you have any questions about this I let you a video for you see what I mean.

I am assuming there are Lost Souls in your map already. If so, you should know that there is a hardcoded limit to the number of Lost Souls that can be spawned within a map (21 to be exact).

This happens on vanilla and limit-removing (so for example Choco, Crispy and PrBoom+ cl 2). If you test it with PrBoom+ cl9, Eternity or GZDoom, the effect should not be there (as the limit has been removed in these ports). If you want to fix it for vanilla, you need to make sure there are less than 21 Lost Souls in the level. Even then they can only spawn as many as there are empty slots out of 21.
