Doom and Doom II iron man demos?

Just wanted to know if iron man i.e

(complete the section with no deaths) is officially recognized as a speed run category? Its extremely difficult to find any records of this, unless this is now a forbidden dark art that no one practices anymore?
Are there any official records for this?

Every single speedrun is completed with no deaths (except some exceptions, such as death exiting).
