Ultimate super doom 3 doesnt work with gzdoom

Everytime i launch it on gzdoom i get this error:

Execution could not continue.

1 errors during actor postprocessing

Can someone help me with this?

Try using the latest GZDoom SVN.

Check the readme and see if there's a compatible version listed there.

the mod is almost 10 years old, so it probably needs a much older version of ZDoom/GZDoom

 

it might work in Zandronum tho too

Indeed, it's pretty old but it's also very particular in the version of GZDoom that it needs.  It will only run on version 1.8.2.  Kinda wish it would get an update for modern builds as it's good fun.

It likely won't be getting any work to recent GZDoom versions because of its reliance on a very specific version (1.8.2). Therefore i have to reckon that it relies on specific behavior that is only present there.

 

And that very well might be a bug being abused as a feature. If that's the case, then naturally it will never get any modern updates.
