Dark Imp vs Spectre Imp

I’m planning on replacing the SS Guard in my project with another Imp character. Which would you recommend?

 

Dark Imp: I’ve seen several variations of these guys, but generally they are stronger Imps that use stronger projectiles, and are dark in appearance. 
 

Spectre Imp: I’ve seen mods that add the ghost mode to enemies, but I was thinking not only could this Imp be in Spectre mode, his projectiles will be as well, and he could defy gravity much like the Caco, only much faster moving.

How do you want to make these monster changes?

 

Because with DeHackEd, you can't make a "fuzzy" monster shoot "fuzzy" projectiles. Either the imp fireball is normally visible for every imp, fuzzy or not, or it's fuzzy for every imp, fuzzy or not.

 

Technically you could do it by turning another projectile into a fuzzy copy of the imp ball, and then change one of the imps to use the attack pointer to that of the other monster, but then you'd just move the problem elsewhere, meaning that then normal cacodemons or barons/knights or arachnotrons etc. would throw (fuzzy or not) imp fireballs.

 

Whereas with DECORATE, you don't need to replace existing monsters, even those you're not planning to use.
