PetalousPanoply Posted October 26, 2020 (edited) +Refracted Reality. Just stunning. I'm a sucker for color-themed maps so this is my jam. +Akeldama. One of the best classic-style megawads I've played in years. +Shrine II. Very ambitious and I love the sprites! +Mutabor. Great, intricate map with cool visuals. +Serpent's Wake. Great use of difficulty options and Heretic needs more love. +Quest for the Crystal Skulls. More Heretic love. Also, the new maps for the Nightdive release of Doom 64 deserve a mention as well. Snark Posted October 26, 2020 + Nova 3. Some (very) amateurish maps, but more than made up for by the cool ones 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
Gothic Posted October 26, 2020 Would it be possible for MM8BDM to get a Mordeth Award, even if it already got a Multiplayer Award? It has been in development for 10 years now. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
Gez Posted October 26, 2020 No, it's been released already, it's just getting updates. Kind of like Sonic Robo Blast 2, which is also a standalone fangame based on a console franchise and built using an advanced port of the Doom Engine. 2 Quote Share this post Link to post

Cipherz Gaming YT Posted November 2, 2020 AHEM! I would definitely do Spectacle Creep. It's a fantastic UDMF Remake of the Original Doom 1. It's not currently finished, but I would TOTALLY write about it! 0 Quote Share this post Link to post

DoomCat89 Posted November 3, 2020 (edited) + Abysm 2 - Infernal Contract by jazzmaster9 It's got a great RPG feel to it and it's one of the best I've played this year. Edited November 3, 2020 by DoomCat89 4 Quote Share this post Link to post
Omniarch Posted November 3, 2020 + Three Is A Crowd - Such a unique and interesting megawad, wildy unconventional but highly competent. Probably the most original megawad I've ever played. + Akeldama - Feels like the closest thing to a true successor to Alien Vendetta we're ever going to get. A great variety of levels, with many unique and interesting ideas. 6 Quote Share this post Link to post

Someone has been putting out great Doom stuff for years now. I think it's high time Someone got the recognition they deserve. If you need any more results, just type "someone" made "Doom" in Google. You'll see how active they've been year after year! Edited November 5, 2020 by Doomkid 16 Quote Share this post Link to post

Gez Posted November 5, 2020 I don't see Faithless Trilogy mentioned on this page, so here's a mention. Sorry. I meant, of course, "I don't see Faithless Trilogy mentionated on this page, so here's a mentionation." 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
Endless Posted November 6, 2020 Welp, the Cacowards are pretty much around the corner, so it's time I give some of my mentionations that I think truly deserve some nice recognition: + + + Bastion of Chaos + + + Mapwich 2 + + + Abysm 2: Infernal Contract + + + DBP26: The City of the Damned Children + + + MAYhem 2020 + + + 1k Lines Community Project 2 @Big Ol Billy and/or @Bridgeburner56. I pretty much have these two guys on a pedestal and pray to them every night. And reminder: +++ @kmxexii For a Espi Award. <3 7 Quote Share this post Link to post
ReaperAA Posted November 6, 2020 +++Faithless Trilogy The original Faithless.wad was, in my opinion, the biggest snub of last year. This year, with the release of the next 2 episodes, I think this wad is once again a solid contender for the cacoward. 2 Quote Share this post Link to post

I see it was published in 2009 so I guess it doesn't really apply to these nominations, lol 1 Quote Share this post Link to post

Bridgeburner56 Posted November 6, 2020 (edited) Here are my picks for the year. In no particular order +++ Technicolour Antichrist Box by @Major Arlene +++ Tartarus by @RonnieJamesDiner +++ Criticality by @Scotty +++ Faithless by @Jimmy +++ 1klines 2 by @Liberation et al +++ Abyssm 2 by @jazzmaster9 Edited November 6, 2020 by Bridgeburner56 9 Quote Share this post Link to post
Phobus Posted November 6, 2020 I've scrolled through the whole thread to check, and we're approaching that nebulous cut-off point for the year, so I thought I'd highlight DBP19: A Doomer Boards Christmas Carol as a big one from near the end of last year. I appreciate I was heavily involved in it, and might not even be eligible to mentionate it as a result, but apparently @Big Ol Billy is on the cusp of finalising the release in time for this coming Christmas, and even without that /idgames upload, it is the best (and perhaps most comprehensive?) Christmas project to date, in my estimation. Look out in the DWMC thread for me voting for this for next month, too :P 6 Quote Share this post Link to post

CherubCorps Posted November 7, 2020 (edited) Mapwich 2 and Akaldama for wads. Had alot of fun with these two. Shrine 2 as a total conversion. Such a neat little game. Faithless which just came out. Awesome Heretic/Hexen map pack. Edited November 7, 2020 by RomDump 2 Quote Share this post Link to post
ENEMY!!! Posted November 8, 2020 Another vote for the Faithless Trilogy. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post

Why yes I was the benevolent dictator of DBP18 and I think it's great :) EDIT: I would like to mentionate Doom Zero if that's eligible!
