How do I change doomguys sprite?

So im making a machinima thing and I dont know how to change doomguy's sprites to a different "playermodel". An example would be if there was a mirror and when the player looked in the mirror he looked like a pinky, or a chicken or something.

Open up a copy of Doom2.wad in slade3, find the PLAY** sprites, select them all, export as PNG, edit to your hearts content, then make a new wad and import your freshly edited sprites. Be sure to convert them back to Doom image format and add SS_START and SS_END markers around them (for the sake of neatness more than anything else)
