what makes a map comfy?

As far as I can tell right now (Because it is late for a long wall of text-length post like I usually do), I love maps where you do not really have to worry about fights or otherwise the combats are either avoidable or easy enough to handle them, and exploration is the key to it, so good graphics, gameplay, flow and music along a nice ambience really makes you feel like you are taking a stroll somewhere magical yet realistic, Lost Civilization is like this sincerely, if you play it with monsters you can feel it is a bit ""hard"" later on, while without them you can enjoy a calm stroll through the landscapes it has to offer.

I myself am trying to do something similar on the exploring sense and others, which hopefully fulfills your expectations of a comfy map someday.
