TravyB Posted February 1, 2020 If you have, for example, a 3D platform raised above the rest of the room, like a catwalk, is it possible to somehow create a height-specific line (or a line active only at a certain height, rather) that only blocks players on the set height? Here's a screencap to help show you what I mean. I know that a railing cannot be placed on the 3D platform directly (least I don't think it can...) and needs to be a MU beyond it to work, but of course having the railings work would mean flagging them as 'block player' and 'block monster', blocking access to the area directly beneath the platform. Is there any way around this, or do I just have to deal with it? I know I could try using actual geometry as a railing, as opposed to a middle texture, but I'm not sure how good that'd look. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
Gez Posted February 1, 2020 You can use 3D midtextures, they will block only through the height of the texture. 3 Quote Share this post Link to post
Kappes Buur Posted February 1, 2020 Make the railing another 3d sector? 0 Quote Share this post Link to post

As @Kappes Buur indicated, you can make your railing with 3D sectors, and place them directly on your 3D platform. It actually looks just fine. And here's another example. 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
