Brutal Doom Speedruns?

Hello.
I am wondering if there can be a category dedicated to Brutal Doom speedruns, as I think it doesn't stray too far from the original formula of doom, yet adding so much.
It also would bring many new categories back from the dead, like UV Tyson.
But, that is just my opinion, so keep that in mind.

I... don't get that. Like Tyson could be a cool catagory in Brutal Doom, considering how big melee has been revamped in Brutal.

Tyson it's only melee, and yes, if you want, you are free to do it. Maybe others will follow if that it's fun.

Brutal Doom requires GZDoom, how can you share demos for it? That remain compatible?

I think the only sane way to do it would be to share the demo as well as supply a copy of the specific version of gzdoom (and brutal doom I suppose) its run on either as the same link or in the same post, similar to how people currently typically provide a link to the wad for regular demos/speedruns.

Yes, I will just run random executables that someone provides, just to play a demo! :D

Not executables, but.

GZDOOM version, may be 4.10 for example, you can download it on the gzdoom webpage.
BrutalDoomv21, download on their own mod page in moddb.
Download the .imp demo and run that on the gzdoom with the pwad.

So maybe instead of share the pwads and the sourceports, just write what gzdoom version and pwad of brutal doom to be used and anybody can have it on by own.

Nothing out of our mind. Also can be possible to be recorded with OBS and just work with that. But that should not be taked as a 100% serious speedrun, but mostly for fun.

No GZDoom speedrun will ever be taken seriously, so better do it all on video.
