It does seem to replace the BFG as the "fuck you" weapon, hence why the BFG got moved to the weapon wheel with the Crucible taking up a primary bind instead. The animation looks really fast but I think it's because Hugo has the glory-kill speed rune maxed out. It's pretty normal to find last-minute tiny bugs like those popping up towards the end of development, like sudden zits on your face. What bothers me more is why did they put Quad Damage, a QUAKE idea, into Doom, in the first place? Quake came AFTER Doom, and yet they nicked ideas from their own games to put into sequels. Same house holders IP (iD software) so they can have same ideas bettwn frachise. The BFG it's on Quake 2 and nobody say it's a bad thing, even Doom and Quake have this idea for multiple dimensions, they can share the name of the powerup lol. Taurus Daggerknight Posted March 2, 2020 Yeah, I've seen people complaining about Quad Damage in Doom 2016 before, and it always confused me. Quake and Doom have been swapping ideas for ages, because, yes, same devs (mostly). I mean, long as we're going to complain about Quad Damage in Doom, let's fuss about the following too: - Doom 2016 has a railgun (Gauss rifle) - Quake 1 (expansions onward) has cyborg demonic entities. - Quake 1 is about human portal tech backfiring horribly. - All Quake's have SSG's. In fact, Quake 2's arsenal is basically the Doom arsenal, with the exception of the Rail gun and grenade launcher/ solo grenades. - Quake 2 and 3, as noted, have BFG's. - Quake 3 has a chainsaw (well, buzz saw, but basically, the gauntlet). 2 Quote Share this post Link to post

whatup876 Posted March 2, 2020 (edited) The Maykr building in that Hell levels looks more "ancient" and close to some of the stuff seen in Empyrian from 2016 than the tech heavy stuff we've seen from Eternal. Making me hope their world and theme has more variety. Spoiler The art book even showed what appeared to be a Maykr themed room/area in what may be the top of the Tower of Babel. edit: also speaking of taking stuff from Quake, i hope Crash and Phobos are actual characters and if Quake can have Jesus, so should Doom.
