Ports with missing rotations

Which ports are missing rotations for some/all enemies? And does this mean that you cannot sneak up on enemies or that infighting is disabled? Or does it work like the vanilla DOS Wolfenstein SS who can infight, it just looks weird because they appear to be facing towards you at all times?

Only the 32X and SNES ports lack rotating sprites.

And if memory doesn't fail me, the enemies can infight in 32X, while in both versions they still can hurt each other.

The PlayStation and Sega Saturn versions of Hexen also lack rotation sprites for enemies. The Saturn version also lacks rotations for various projectiles in the game as well. The enemies can still infight though in both ports.

So the 3DO port had rotation? Good grief.

Yes.

Wow! I think because its arguably the worst port of the lot and as it lacks so much already...... I have always presumed it didn't.

If it did not, I'm sure it'd have been written in the Doom Wiki. ;)

Just watched a gameplay video of 3DO Doom, it has rotations and infighting.

Question: In the ports without full rotations, can you sneak up on monsters? When you approach them from "behind"? I mean, they will always show their front sprite to you but the engine uses their real direction ...

It's possible in the 32X port, but not at all in the SNES port, even although they do have non-front directions.
