DOOM stuff modelled in Cinema 4D

pasted in that non-Doom demon model, rescaled it, sliced of the head; merged it with the Hell Knight head I started, moved a bunch of things around... far from done, of course. added proper horns and structure to the head, made lots of adjustments to various vertices, sliced off and rebuilt his lower legs. Still needs his toesies

 

to fur the legs or not to fur the legs? I can never get C4D's hair to do what I want, so I normally stick to poly modeling, which just won't work for this...

Claws tomorrow, then maybe actually rigging.
And deciding whether to give him the furry legs treatment

I tried to do the furry legs, but Cinema 4d's hair never seems to work right

So it appears that the "fur" function works well for this, after noodling around with it a bit. Probably becausee it's a much simpler tool and doesn't have all the dynamicz and stuff that the hair tool does.

been a bit
working on other things (also some depression sleeps)

Decided I didn't like where I was going with the assault rifle and sleeked it down

Absolutely love the look of the weapons you modeled. The perfect blend of recognizable designs with additional bells and whistles to add some of your own flavor, and the mid-poly aesthetic is a godlike fit for Doom and gives me all sorts of nostalgia for games of the early 2000s. I hope you plan on giving us a weapon sprite replacement wad at some point so I can inject your take on the SSG directly into my veins. Good luck with the demons and other living creatures - regardless of medium, they're always way harder to handle. So many more moving parts to worry about. Keep going!
