Perdition - A Doom 64 Tribute Album [New: Spookyween 22!]

So! In ten days, alongside the release of Doom Eternal, Doom 64's getting a proper re-release on various platforms, so I figured it was as good a time as any to make this album!

 

Aubrey Hodges has been one of the main inspirations of my ambient style and I would not have gone anywhere near as far as I have if I hadn't run into his astounding work. The least I could do is make a tribute to it. :)

 

Inside this album are 25 tracks, some that fit the style of Doom 64's ambient more than others. They are all Creative Commons - Attribution, so as long as you follow that and give me the proper credit, these are all completely free for you to use in your projects however you wish!

I carefully considered bumping this thread and I thought the fact that the album deserves more attention is relevant enough.

 

There's some really good stuff here and it makes a great alternative to the original Doom64 soundtrack.  I've actually been using it to play lots of Quake and it fits really well there too.

 

Great stuff, totally recommended.  It's "Name Your Own Price" so there's no reason not to support this project.  :)

This is wonderful! It's nice to see such good work continue with more atmospheric Dooming.  I can feel Hodges work in it, but you still have a good taste of your own style.

Whoa what is this?! Giving your work a listen and I am blown away by it. Very impressive and invokes the mood and style of Aubrey Hodges. I’ve always been a fan of dark ambient. Good work!

I've given Perdition and Slipgate a good listening to, you really hit the ball out of the park! Currently my favorites are Baphomet Lingers and Shambler's Wrath! Now I've got to listen to Dark Premonitions. This is exactly the type of dark ambient music I like - Aubrey Hodges, Iron Cthulhu Apocalypse and many of the artists featured on Cryo Chamber!

I appreciate the praise! :) Baphomet Lingers and Shambler's Wrath, huh? Neither were ones I would've expected to be favorites, but all the same, i'm happy to hear that they are!

 

Dark Premonitiions is mostly an album of music leftovers, so to speak - a bunch of loose songs I had done over the course of two years compiled together into an album for the sake of convenience. Only some of them are dark ambient - others are not.
