when will doom eternal be released on the switch?

Coming from playing it on xbone, your joycons are gonna break and start drifting quick unless you have a pro controller.

Uh, my used $50 Samsung tablet from 5 years ago? A $40 Straight Talk Phone? Raspberry Pi? 

 

Your mobile console isn't as special as you'd be deceived into believing. The hardware capacity for cheap devices is very comparable to the Switch. And cheaper to buy and own.

And for the sheer optimization, and the work of Panic Botton, i hope the beest for this Port on switch, maybe stop the hate comentary on a game that it's not info yet, but have a great backtrack of really good's ports

My take in the time frame it's 2 to 3 months, im pretty sure hearing on some interviews that panic botton was working hand with hand with iD software, so now that the game it's launched, their main focus at the moment it's switch and the DLC packs.

@warman2012 Why will they have to cut half of the game for the switch? There's nothing wrong with that console at all. Thanks for letting us all know that you have a tablet though. 

 

Also back to the topic here, I don't think they've said anything about the estimated time for release. Hopefully it's not too far out though for those who plan on playing there because the game is fantastic :)

Don't derail the topic.

Also, Streaming and Run Native it's two different things.

Im pretty sure that the Switch port will make use of the OverClook hardware that it's was used on the port of MK 11.

Execpt it is, because its a Tegra X1 SoC. With a GPU that keeps feature parity with its desktop siblings. And was only used in very few devices (Google's Pixel C, for instance).

  • What is a ''cheap device'' by your book that matches Switch perf?
  • What is the comparable hardware like?
  • What does one mean with ''cheaper to buy and own''?

We have to keep in mind that those SoC's either run Android, or are limited by cooling capacity and thus are subject to throttling, something the Switch has far less + low level access (Which is how it seems to punch above its weight, pretty much)

Based on what are you pretty sure? Because a fighter title from a different company used it, You are pretty sure that PB does it aswell?

Boost Mode is only a limited gift at the cost of battery life. It stands to reason that PB can make use of it, as its an option Nintendo has given developers. But one can only be for sure when the port is released.

Seconded.  I have Doom 2016 on the Switch and I wouldn't recommend the use of the joy-cons with Doom Eternal too.  Even my poor PS4 Pro is getting pushed hard by that game.
