Did Doom 64 Have Visplane and Linedef limits?

I've been playing the recent PC release of Doom 64 and noticed the detailing is fairly low, very close to Doom 2, actually. So that got me wondering, was Doom 64 similarly limited? Or was the lack of intricate detail simply to ensure it ran well on the Nintendo 64?

I was mainly wondering if the limits were a hold over because 64 uses a heavily modified id tech 1 engine.

Ah. I'd imagine it's at least slightly higher than the PS1 version's own(since it was derived from it) to account for the N64's hardware.

Only a guess, I admit.

I don't think the rendering engine works the same way: just look at the title sequence (MAP33), which ends with the camera looking straight down at the map.
