What do you want for DLC?

true, dlc is not the same as the expansions we used to get. hopefully the single player expansions are fleshed out, i dont mind waiting a year for something substantial.

Honestly just more story, preferably explaining more things that happened between 2016 and Eternal rather than post-campaign mini-sequel, I think there's plenty material to work with.

In my experience that depends on the developer/publisher. Some of them still make what would have been expansion packs back in the day.

How about a new gun that is weak even with upgrades, or new enemies that also suck. And of course, there's always more cosmetics, so how about more Slayer skins, all for a ludicrous price of 20$.

 

This example is supposed to be slightly exaggerated, just so I get my point across. And gee, rather than having shitty DLC I'd rather have nothing :v .

Can't control shitty content but I am willing to risk it.  Besides a lot of your examples are subjective anyways.  People are calling for the Marauders to be removed because they think they "suck" but I find them fun to fight.  I also can't stand the stupid fortnite skins but here we are and I chose not to buy it.

Well, yeah, but making games isn't free, least of all at this level of quality and fidelity. Don't you feel like you got your money's worth from Eternal already? I've had 20 something hours of quality entertainment already, strikes me as reasonable to charge me for more if what they cook up seems to deserve it.

more multiplayer game modes (especially the invasion mode they harped on and on about early in the game's development) and more demons to play as in them. the starting roster is fine so far, but it's just my luck that aside from the marauder, they picked my least favorite demons in the doom franchise XD

I used to rag on DLC but then i played the DLC for Dark Souls 1 and 3 , Borderlands 2, and Far Cry 3 and it really changed my mind.

There are a few story things I'd like to see probably

Main two being:

A mission set during the time of The Night Sentinels

and a mission set right after Doom 2016 explaining how the Slayer got back out of hell and found the Fortress of Doom.

New environments/locations and new enemies are what I'm looking forward to most. Don't care about story connections.

Might need to do a DE Prologue/D16 Epiligoe to fill in some of the holes.  There is no doubt that the story retconned some stuff and complicated things a bit more than it needed to be.
