How do I make an elevator

more specifically I need an elevator that goes down by pressing a switch and then automatically goes back up after a period of time

and I need it to do the same thing but be activated from the bottom 

I'm using doom builder 2 with zdoom in hexen format and testing it in gzdoom

If you want floor to raise, you should look for floor actions, like Floor raises to next higher floor.

Don't know what numbers are in hexen.

Yes I understand that but what I'm asking is how do I do that but make it go up after a period of time of it being down sort of like how a door goes back down after a period of time

hey that worked thanks I didn't know about the platform section and was using the floor section instead
