BasmhurTabs Posted May 6, 2020 Hi there fellow slayers. Recently with Doomseeker i've had an issue when attempting to download updates for the program or any WADs from servers where it wouldn't find anything and would return the error "Error creating SSL context ()". I had tried multiple fixes (redownloading current/new/old versions of Doomseeker, various Windows and network repairs etc) to no avail, searched far and wide and found no answers but I finally stumbled across a solution myself and thought I would share it here! So, if your Doomseeker returns the above error when trying to update or download WADs, here's what you can do: - Visit the following link: https://indy.fulgan.com/SSL/ - (Before continuing, you should always be wary of downloading files you don't trust, please don't hold me responsible if it breaks your system etc etc.) - Downloaded the latest compiled OpenSSL release for 32-bit. The filename will be similar to "openssl-1.X.Xu-i386-win32.zip". - Once downloaded, extract the zip file. - Copy the files "libeay32.dll" and "ssleay32.dll". - Paste them into your Doomseeker program files directory, overwriting the existing files. After that, relaunch Doomseeker and everything will work again! 2 Quote Share this post Link to post
