XXx_D00MSL4Y3R_69_xXX Posted May 7, 2020 Hi, I typically play on Xbox one and want to know if there is a way to record footage. (like a demo in doom 1/2) I must specify using gamecapture cards or recording software does not count. It has to be from the game itself 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
KainXavier Posted May 7, 2020 (edited) You can't record an entire level's worth of gameplay but the Xbox One does have a video capture feature. See Xbox.com for details:https://beta.support.xbox.com/help/friends-social-activity/share-socialize/capture-game-clips-and-screenshots Edited May 7, 2020 by KainXavier 0 Quote Share this post Link to post
Edward850 Posted May 7, 2020 (edited) What you seem to be actually asking for is Input/command based recordings, however these are an extreme rarity amongst game engines, and even more so on console games (literally the only games this gen might be Halo and GTA V). Doom'16 doesn't have a format like that, not even on PC, so the only option is to use a DVR which fortunately has many options for you. You can use a capture card like the Elgato HD60 S or the Xbox's own built in DVR (both passive and manual options) which can be saved to either various cloud storage options or an external USB 3.0 NTFS formatted drive.
