Chip Posted May 14, 2020 Obviously, at one point in all of our lives, we all have wondered what it would look like if Electronic Arts made DOOM. But, the problem is, if they did own the rights to it, they would obviously give it a catchier name. also, you would have to buy every level and every weapon. Even better, the demons have to be bought one piece at a time. also, the game will be sold separately from the disc. and for the whole experience, it is only $50,000. Finally, you will no longer be Doomguy and fight in Hell, rather you will be Karl Urban trying to get an acting job in 2005 (sadly you fail, so you decide to act in a DOOM movie) 2 Quote Share this post Link to post
Bauul Posted May 14, 2020 Well, also in 1993 when Doom was first released, EA published Ultima Underworld 2, Syndicate, Sim City 2000, and Wing Commander: Privateer, all absolute classics. So realistically it would have been probably the same as what we got. 3 Quote Share this post Link to post

Pretty sure the thought literally never crossed my mind until you proposed it... That said, the EA of the 90s was a WORLD different from the EA of today. This was the EA of stuff like Road Rash and Skate or Die; of the Strike series of games and Crüe Ball; of Mutant League and Theme Park. The sports infection didn't really begin until the mid-to-late 90s. 0 Quote Share this post Link to post

The EA of today wouldn't make Doom, that's pretty simple. It'd be Battlefield instead. Edited May 17, 2020 by Dark Pulse 0 Quote Share this post Link to post

P41R47 Posted May 18, 2020 (edited) then you will have Doom 2016, and a few monthd after, Doom 2017 with a few pixels added and some reskins. Later, Doom2018 that its the same as 2016 & 2017, but lets you play with Karl Urban. In 2019 you get a massive update that adds new visual enhancements, and in 2020 those enhancement seems to be incompatible with save games, so they come back to 2019 but added a new skin of the rock as player character. Like Fifa games, same game over and over with just reskins for different soccer players and a few visual enhancement to make it more appealing to people that don't play games and need everything realistic and hyper detailed just to play for five minutes. I love those Fifa games ♥️ Edited May 18, 2020 by P41R47 1 Quote Share this post Link to post
