[iOS 12.4.6] Doom crashes immediately

I have an iPad mini 2 which is unfortunately capped at iOS 12.4.6. I know that the latest DOOM (1) requires iOS 13 but App Store let me download its latest version which also works with iOS 12.4.6. So the problem is that as soon as the Bethesda and id vanity plates end, the game abruptly crashes to the home screen. Do developers get crash logs submitted to their portal?
