The Doom Poll Version 1

Decided to make a poll because why not.

Doom 1 had the better worldfeel, but Doom 2 has the better monsters/bestiary.

 

Doom PSX and Doom 64 had the best atmosphere.

 

And anyone who says 3DO for that last question needs to be decapitated and paraded around Post Hell.

I think the only case where someone says 3DO is if they were forced to play Saturn for 24 hours straight.

The poll cannot be completed if not all options are filled in. I've never owned nor played on a console; Doom wasn't around during the 80s when I was a young man, and most consoles of the time probably wouldn't have coped with the game if it was :p So don't have a preference. Please could you amend the poll accordingly?

1. Doom 1/The Ultimate Doom - I just prefer the atmosphere and level design. Also i've played it a LOT more so i know it better. It's what started the whole craze as well, not that Doom II is bad. Without Doom II i don't think Doom would of lasted as long tbh. It has more enemies and a new essential weapon. But i love the first one more.

 

2. I don't map. - I just haven't gotten into it (yet?)

 

3. PSX - I don't own it (it's quite expensive to buy) but i've played it via emulation or via a GZDoom mod and i have to say that it's great. I wish it would get an official re-release tbh, just like Doom 64 did.

 

Question: Why is "Doom95" under console port? That makes no sense to me as it's literally for Windows 95.
