What is best way to play doom?

I am a newcomer to doom. I want to play doom with the most amount of enhancements possible.

That's up to you, i or others can't influence what mod load you use. That being said find a mod load that's comfortable for you, stretch your legs reach for new boundaries there is dozens of cool wads out there, plus when you're new it's even easier.
